IVAC Benefits
What is the IVAC Program?
The Indemnisation des victimes d’actes criminels (IVAC) program in Quebec provides financial compensation and psychological support to individuals affected by crime. At the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights, we are an IVAC-approved provider, offering fully covered therapy for victims, witnesses, and family members dealing with trauma.
Key Features of the Program
Who is Eligible for IVAC Coverage?
Victims of violent crimes, including sexual violence, domestic violence, and assault.
Family members of a deceased victim of crime.
Witnesses of violent crimes who have suffered psychological trauma.
Applications must generally be submitted within three years of the crime, though exceptions exist for cases involving sexual violence, domestic violence, or childhood abuse.
